Woohoo!!!

I just got my copy of the new 2008 catalog today! Can't wait to show it off, and for my first order.
So I've been working on some stuff in between the cards and finally finished them all up and took some pics. I know, you're surprised I got to it so quickly, it's the new me. (for now at least, lol)
This is an altered paint can using the Outlaw pattern paper. In the new catti, this pattern is in blue/red. Very nice. I used twill to tie on the buckle thingie from the hardware kit. I'll be 'wrapping' my bil's gift in here. Here is a repeat card but in a different color. Love the effect of the masking technique. Will have to incorporate that with some swirls... I used Almost Amethyst with Lovely Lilac.
I also made some journals for a few gifts this year. Used a friends bind-it-all machine, think I may have to buy my own. ;)
First one used Chocolate chip cs and taffeta riboon, Brocade background pp, pewter hardware, pretty in pink cs & markers and WW cs. Stamp set is from a new level 3 set.
Second one used Always Artichoke cs, chocolate chip cs & ink, WW cs & ink and Le Jardin pp. Stamps are from All Natural and Baroque Motifs.

First one is for my bil. Used basic grey cs, chocolate chip taffeta ribbon and pewter hardware. I printed his initials on the computer and inserted it in the frame. The pp is from MMS.

Second one uses blue bayou cs & ink brocade backgrouds pp, pewter hardware, cream grossgrain ribbon, and a chipboard 'B' that I colord chocolate chip. The saying is from the Polka dots and paisley set.
These were the simplest as I just used a sheet of paper and added nothing after that. I just felt the pp was enough. They are both from the Le Jardin line. (I think) These are for Colby's preschool teachers.

Finished my cards

Before I talk about my cards, just wanted to give you all a heads up that the new catalog is being mailed to demo's this week. Some girls in Calgary have theirs already and say it's incredible. Lots of great stuff to look forward to Jan. 2nd.

So I finally finished all my Christmas cards and a few tags.
These first 2 are tags I'll attach to gifts. I made 5 of each. Used Chocolate Chip, Purly Pomegranate, and vanilla cs and pp from Brocade Backgrounds. Stamp is from Baroque Motifs. They are 3 x 3 size.

This one is Kraft and Chocolate chip cs.
Not 100% happy with this card but it will have to do. I made a mask to create the inked oval. Used Bashful Blue and Whisper White cs and ink. Also used II EP on the large snowflake to add a little 'something'.This one I CASEd again from SCS. So many beautiful cards on there and I don't have to waste my time trying to think something up. :)

The base is Kraft cs, then Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla. I masked the oval again and inked with Chocolate Chip and Creamy Caramel. Looks awesome IRL.

I really need some 'prettier' salutation stamps.

Here they are

So here are the cards I've been working on. I have a hard time mass producing just one card so I make a variety.
Joy card is Blue Bayou and Soft Sky cardstock. The piece that looks like a ribbon is Blue Bayou Designer Series pp. I used the stamp set Perfect Presentation which is a Level 2 hostess set. This was a super quick card and I CASEd it from SCS. This one is interesting. Pattern paper is from the Happy Harmony line. I'm not fond of pink for Christmas, but it's okay. I used my sister's Snow Globe stamp set. I colored the trees with the pencils and blender pens. This is another card I CASEd off of SCS. It is so beautiful IRL. And surprisingly easy to do. Used Lovely as a Tree stamp set. Bordering Blue, Black and Whisper White cs.
This card turned out beautiful too if I may say so myself. I stamped the angel (another set of my sister's that's retired) and embossed with gold. Then colored in her dress with the aqua painters and Night of Navy reinker. Added some glitter to her wings, sponged the edges of the WW to soften that layer up, used a strip of Happy Harmony pp and blue organdy ribbon.
This is a gift card holder for my BIL in for Christmas. The pp is from last years holiday collection. So sad I'm almost out now. The tree is from Perfect Presentation.
Here it is open.
Another card using the Snow Globe stamp set. I cut out the 'glass' from the globe and put a transparency sheet behind it. Then stamped the trees and snowman on a second layer of WW cs. Colored them all in with the pencils and blender pens. Soft Sky and Blue Bayou cs.
I think this is called a spin fold card. There is a spin righ where the ribbon is attached, really cool. This stamp set is also retired, Christmas Cardinal. I colored it in using the crayons and aqua painters. I also used shimmery white cs. Very nice IRL but doesn't show very well in a pic.
This one is 4 x 4. Also a CASEd card. I just stamped the snowmen and colored them with markers. Very easy, very quick.

I still need to make a few more cards and I'm in the middle of making a few journals so will update when I get that all done.

Good intentions

So I just took pictures of the Christmas cards I've been making this past week and they turned out horrible. This one was okay so I'll still share it with you, but I'll re-take the other ones.
The cardstock is Bravo Burgandy, River Rock and Whisper White. I don't have River Rock ink so I used Sahara Sand and it's pretty close. The organdy ribbon is retired, sadly. I love that stuff on cards.
So I'll try really hard to re-take the pictures tomorrow afternoon while the kidlets are napping.

Some decorations

So I decided to alter some wooden blocks I had kicking around. My dad was sweet enough to cut these for me over a year ago.
I used some Basic Grey pattern paper, chipboard letters, stamps, ribbon, brads and more. I really like the way they turned out and these photos do not do them justice.
I've also been working on a bunch of Chirstmas cards. Hoping to finish them up tonight (early bedtime for the bears so I'll have some alone time) and post in the next day or two.

Late as usual

So I'm finally getting around to posting the cards we did for our card classes. It seemed that everyone enjoyed making them. Thanks again ladies, I had a great time!
This first card is made using the Snowburst set from the mini catalog and the sentiment is from a retired set. The cardstock, ink and ribbon are all Bravo Burgandy. I actually gave the girls a choice to make this card or the next as I couldn't decide on one. This card envolved masking and even though it looked intimidating, all the girls tried it. And they turned out great. This one also uses the Snowburst set as well as "joy" from the Snowflake Spot set. It's hard to see but the base is Bravo Burgandy with a layer of Basic Grey and then the white. Used the word window punch to make the accents.
Flaky Friends is still one of my fav's. We embossed the snowmen in black and then colored in with the coordinating markers. Cardstock we used, Soft Sky, Always Artichoke and Whisper White and the pp is from the Wintergreen line.
This was a superquick card. Used the Snowflake Spot here with Night of Navy, Brocade Blue and Sahara Sand ink. Added a little bling with dazzling diamonds glitter.Another cute little snowman from the Holiday Tag Team set. The Believe is from a retired set but I love the font. The base is River Rock cs, a layer of Always Artichoke and the squares were cut from the Happy Harmony pp line. We colored in the snowman with pencils and blender pens, then added some diamonds to him too.

So with 2 little ones running around this year I've decided to once again decorate my tree with paper ornaments. This is one kind of ornament I'll be making with the scallop punch. Very easy, very quick. PP is from the Wintergreen line.
Close up.
Here's a quick card I did for Colby's Wee College teachers. Love the dazzling diamonds on the snowflakes.
These cards are 3 x 3 size. It was fun working on a smaller surface but very difficult for me. I decided on a very simple design as I made 18 of these for the girls at Mom's morning out. Again pp is from the Wintergreen line. (great paper)

I should have posted this a few days ago but I've been busy calling and/or emailing most of my customers with the great news.
SU! is having 2 specials this month. The first being, when you purchase 3 packs of pattern paper you get the 4th for FREE! That's a $13.50 value. (And the pattern paper is awesome this year.) It also includes the pattern papers from the mini cataloge.
Also, they are NOT charging shipping and handling fees on all orders. That's a 10% savings.
So if you would like to host a workshop or place an order, call or email me. The specials end November 30th. Now is a great time to get those Christmas gifts for the stampers/scrappers on your list.

Great day!

Woohoo!! Had my first Christmas card class and it was a great day. A few delinquent's signed up but I kept them under control. LOL
I had a great time. Thanks girls for making my day!!
I'll try to upload the cards we did later tonight or tomorrow.

Altered canvas

Actually 3 canvas's.
Earlier this fall I took pictures of my Mother in law's flowers that she has growing in her gardens. I was just playing around with my camera but the shots turned out great. So when I showed her the pictures on my computer she wanted me to print her a copy of each. Of course I got to thinking and came up with the idea to put these flowers onto a canvas and she can hang them in her deck. She has a beautiful screened in deck and I think these will go perfect in there. I'm hoping she'll think the same thing.
They are all 12 x 12 inches so the pics are all cut to 3 x 3. I added a little chipboard and pewter accents, oh and some rub on words I had kicking around. Instead of adding squares of pattern paper, I took pictures of her statues and foliage and added them in to break up the flowers a little. After I was done I put 3 coats of mod podge over it to make dusting easier.
I made it so they could be displayed 3 in a row like this or separate.
hmmmmm, I wonder if she reads my blog???

DATES, for the Christmas Card Classes

I have picked some dates for the Christmas Card Class. I am going to have 3 small classes and they will be in my home. No more than 6 people in one class, so space is limited.
Dates/times I have choosen are:
~Saturday November 10th starting at 1pm.
~Saturday November 17th
~1st class starting at 9am
~2nd class starting at 2pm
It will probably take about 3-4 hours to complete all the cards.
You can also choose to do 12 cards for $25 or 15 cards for $30. BUT, you have to let me know ahead of time how many cards you'd like to make as I precut everything for you.
You can call or email me to sign up and you are always welcome to invite a friend to join the fun.

I never know what to put for a title!!

This is another layout made from the level one hostess scrapin' kit. I hand cut the } which took way too long!! It needs a little something on the left side to balance out the black. I tried to doodle that little corner thing with the black marker but not sure if I like it. Maybe a photo corner??? I dont' know. I'll figure something out. Oh, and it's not ribbon on the right side, just cardstock cut to look like riboon. :) This card I CASEd off of SCS again. I wanted something beautiful/elegant for my parents 40th anniversary. I looked it up and 40 years is the RUBY. The orginal card had 'kind' in black instead of the red 'cherish'. This is beautiful IRL. Hope they like it! CS I used was black and River Rock and some dp. The only thing I stamped was the flower in the middle from the Baroque Motifs set.

Have a great weekend all!!

Monday

Here are 2 cards I've got on my desk right now ready to send away. I have a few more I'm working on for some penpals/friends. After this I would love to get started on my Christmas cards. Haven't decided if they'll all be the same or have a variety. lol
I'd like to plan another Christmas card class this year. It's always so much fun. I'd like to do it one Saturday in November, let me know what dates would work for you all. We'll do 12 cards for $25 or 15 cards for $30. And if there's enough interest for a second group again this year, you know I'll run it.
CASEd this from a card I saw on SCS. It was so easy and looks so nice IRL. Made this as a baby card for some friends who just had a baby boy. Stamp set I used, Baroque Motifs and last years level one hostess set for the sentiment.
This card I made for a friend who just lost her husband. The green pp is from MSS, the stamp sets are Terrific Tulips (retired but I still love it) and Sincere Salutations.

Still no laptop

So Dwight finally called Linksys on Friday evening while I was out shopping with Eva. (hehehe) Well, when I got back he was in a horrible mood!! Spent 3 hours on the phone with them. BUT, we're getting a new router so hopefully this stops happening.
This afternoon I'll try to install my camera program onto the desktop and hopefully it will work this time.

I did make a baby card and a thinking of you card this weekend and eventualy I'll show you.

Happy Monday all!

Darn computers!!!

Okay, so more like "darn routers"!! Ours is not working again. It quit a few days ago but I'm still not in the mood to call customer service only to speak with someone I can't understand and they don't have the patience to help. Maybe this afternoon I'll subject myself to the torture.
I do have a few things to upload so hopefully if all goes well I'll share.
Have a great Friday everyone!

Friday Night!!

Okay, I know, I'm posting this after the Sunday post. I'm the first to admit I'm a bit of a dork. lol
Anyway, just wanted to shout out a huge thank you to all the girls that came out and made the night a success!!! Turned out better than expected so that's always great.
I'm sure some of you are wondering who the winners are, well here it is:

$10 GC goes to Bev E.
1st basket goes to Carol H.
2nd basket goes to Sherri D.
3rd basket goes to Nettie F.

Congrats to all the winners and I'll get these out to you ASAP.

Thanks again for all your support!!!!

Sunday

Some ATC's I made last week for a swap. They are 2.5" x 3.5". I haven't made very many of these yet. The smaller size is fun to work with though. And are a great addition to a layout or card front.
Ingredients: Brocade Blue and Whisper White cardstock, Whisper White craft, and black stazon ink. I colored in the snowmen with the pencils and blender pens. Added some glitter with the liquid glue. The stamp set I used was Flaky Friends. I cut 2 snowmen out of the grouping.
Ingredients: Real Red, Black and Whisper White cardstock, Real Red and Black ink. Covered the butterfly with Crystal Effects and sprinkled just a few granules of glitter over top. Stamp set is of course, Priceless.
Ingredients: This is done using Joseph's Coat technique. Real Read, Pumpkin Pie, and glossy white cardstock. Fiesta spectrum pad, clear embossing powder and ribbon. The stamp set is Lovely as a Tree.
I made this card for the little girl that lives next door, she turned 2 years old on Saturday!! Very exciting. Ingredients: Whisper White and Pink Passion cardstock, Pink Passion and Tempting Turquoise ink, crystal effects and dazzling diamonds. Do I need to mention the stamp set??
Close up of the butterfly and 'tail'. It's really pretty IRL.

I've had a few minutes

This is a card going to a friend of mine who is going through a horrible time right now. Just want her to know to hang tough and things will turn out in time.
I used Cameo Coral and Always Artichoke cs and ink. I scalloped the cs with my corner rounder again. Love that look. This is one I did just because. I wasn't sure about the color combo but it's on the color coach so thought I would try it. Not bad, but it does look better IRL. But then again, I think cards always look better IRL. The flower is dry debossed to give it a 3-D look.

Have a great rainy and windy day!!

As promised

Here are a few layouts I've done this month.
This first one I've just added a photo to the pattern paper. I have no idea what else to add to not make it look overdone. I'm still playing around. The pp is from the Baroque Backgrounds pack. It's yummy!! This pp is also from the Baroque Backgrounds. I covered all 3 pieces of chipboard with pp. On the top part of the chocolate chip cardstock I ran my ink pad down it. Just to give it a little something without putting an acutal design on it. I also used the new Rhinestone brads. Very nice.
This entire layout is made from the Level 1 hostess scrappin' kit. Lots of fun to work with.

Not my fault

Really, it wasn't my fault I've been slack with posting on here. For the past week our wireless router wasn't working so I couldn't access my laptop, and this is where I upload all my pics onto. My desktop didn't like me trying to install my camera program onto there. So I just couldn't do it. Am I out of the doghouse yet?? Oh, the 3 weeks before that where I didn't post, um, just been busy with summer stuff I guess.

So, now that everything is back to normal I'm hoping to have some time tomorrow to show you some stuff. Stay tuned...

My name is Anne....

and I'm a swirlaholic!! Love, love, love all the swirls and flourishes!! Even Dwight noticed I was using them a lot. What can I say, I'm in love!
So anyway, this is what I've created in the past 2 days between changing diapers, playing cars, cooking and cleaning.
They are all made with the Priceless stamp set. I love Pink Passion and black together. I cut out the butterfly and used dimensionals. Very simple, very basic. Now lets see if I can remember what colors I used here. Kraft cs base, Pink Passion, Certainly Celery, Lavendar Lace and Brocade Blue. I also used the white gel pen to add the dots.
This one is white, black and Certainly Celery. I used my deckle scissors to cut the black circle. Can't wait for my scallop punch!! The brads are pewter as I don't have any black ones left.
This is the inside of the card. I don't very often stamp a verse inside but I like this one and it's going to be an anniversary card.
Did I mention I like black and Pink Passion together?? Maybe it's because in a house full of boys I don't do much with pink. lol I'm not 100% happy with this card, should have made the square with the butterfly smaller. Oh well, next time.
