For Milo

When we bought our dog, Milo, the lady was really sad she had to sell him. After we had him a few days she called to see how he was doing. We have now had him for 3 months and I decided to send a thank you card for Milo and wrote her a letter telling all about him.
This is the card, obviously. I used Chocolate Chip and Really Rust cs. I water colored the image with the pencils and blender pens. I really need the distressing tool, I'm lovin' the look lately. Hopefully I put it in the mail today. ;)

From my S6 girl

Irina Klassen did this layout at our last meeting. She's a mellow color kinda girl, so she put together the blue and yellow then wasn't sure what other color to add. When I suggested red she almost fell out of her chair. But, being the good sport Irina is, she tried the red and I think it turned out fabulous! (I think she loved it too ;) )
If you're wondering what a S6 is, it stands for a stampers 6 club. Meaning there are 6 girls in the club, and we meet 6 times. The members commit to spending a minimum of $34 each every time we meet to ensure a qualifying show for the hostess. Each of the members gets a turn being the hostess. Plus it's always held at my house and you are free to use all my stamps/inks and some of the other stuff too. We try to learn something new each meeting or just try something new on our pages. If you're interested in joining a group, give me a shout.
Well, I should be taking care of some kidlets, so off I go. Also Colby has his kindergarten immunization today, yikes, should be interesting. Have a great day all!!

For my partner in crime...

For my sister's coworker, Rita, I made this Thankyou card. She helped me with all the birthday stuff (pranks) for my sister.
The background is the polished stone technique. I stamped the trees from Lovely as a Tree set, tied on some chocolate taffeta ribbon and distressed the edges of the carstock. Hope she likes it.

So I'm thinking of offering one last card class before summer takes over our time. It would be a misc theme and we would do a variety of cards for throughout the year. Let me know if you'd be interested.

Another quickie

No, a card you silly! Get your mind out of the gutter. ;)
I used the chocolate chip rubon's on this one. The flowers and brads are misc from my stash. The pp is DPSP in certainly celery. I CASEd this card from SCS, but hers (can't remember who, but thanks) had pink pp.
I'll be sending this card to a friend just to say 'hi'. I love doing that. :)

I do have 2 more cards made and a layout from one of my S6 girls that I'll post yet. But I need to drag it out a little so I post more often. hehehe

My sisters birthday today...

And these are a few of the things she'll find while working today! She works at the Winkler post office and delivers mail. So in her sorting cubicle is the banner and the bigger boxes. Along her route she'll find all kinds of different treat boxes (that fit into the return mail slot) as well as some cotton balls. (she has a small phobia about touching cotton. hehehehe)
I didn't post all the little projects I made for her. There was just too many, I think 35 in total. Ya, I sacrificed much of my scrapping time for you Eva!!

The banner I made by cutting pices of chipboard and gluing on some pp and stamped Happy birthday. I put 2 eyelets on each piece to run the string through.
I attempted to make a mail box. Used the polished stone technique on the glossy paper. Not great, but oh well. This is a cute little purse. SU! used to sell the diecuts to make these so I had a pattern so to speak. I put some spools of ribbon in there. The other gable box has a scallop circle punched out of it for a window. Filled with kisses.
This is a 6 x 6 black piece of wood. (long story of why I had one left over) So I decided to decorate it for her scrapspace or workspace.
Altered altoid tin. Isn't that cute?? A mini suitcase. I added a note inside that says, For when you've had enough and want to pack it all in.

The polka dot purse is holding a box of nerds. The Rose Red striped box is a pack of gum. I covered a roll of peppermint lifesavers with pp and ribbon. The yellow box with flowers has a chocolate bar in it. A little birdhouse. A shot glass (which she won't be able to use for the next 7 months) that I covered with rubons. Au Chocolate take out box with a decorated peppermint patty inside. And 2 decorated peppermint pattie.

The first box is an explsion box. When she lifts the lid the base kind of explodes and the number 31 is written inside. The 'for you' box has a bag of gummies inside. And the Tempting Turquoise and pink box is a box of Hot Tamales.
I also altered some blocks for her with her favorite pics. Here are 2 different shots of the blocks. There are 12 pics in total.

So I'm thinking she'll have a rather long day finding all these things along the way. But hey, it's her birthday and we have to celebrate somehow.
So Eva,
HAPPY 31ST BIRTHDAY!!!! Hope you have a great day!

One more

ETA: I CASEd this card from Judy at Joy in a JAR.

So I got another card made. This is a sympathy card for a friend who just lost her husband. So sad. I want to drop it off for her today if the kids are up for a walk.
This card is 5.5 x 5.5 so I had to make a special envelope for it.
The base is Not Quite Navy, then a layer of Soft Sky, then Blue Bayou, then another Soft Sky and then Blue Bayou Designer Print pp. I used the Essence of Love stamp set and embossed the butterfly in silver to make it 'pop'. Also added some silver cord for a little more color. The brads are from the Earth Elements assortment, matching the Not Quite Navy.

I do need to get a mini album done and a layout ready for next week (S6 club) so will be posting pics of those in the near future.
Have a warm weekend everyone. (although I'd like it to rain so I don't feel bad about scrapping)

Fastest card I've ever made

Seriously, less than 10min. I used the rubon's from SAB. Chocolate Chip cs base, taffeta ribbon and rubon's. Certainly Celery designer print series pp. Love how it turned out.
Hopefully this weekend I can get some serious time in my room. With summer coming it gets harder and harder to sit in here.

Good morning

So I was going to post the cards I made in the last few days.... But I guess I should have taken a picture before I sent them away. lol
They did look good though.
So there really is no point to my post expect to say I have nothing to post. oooo, the emails I'm gonna get now. hehehehe
Hopefully today I'll get to neglect the boys and scrapbook/create.
Have a great day all!!
