6 more of me

is what I needed this week. Gosh has it been busy. The best part, it was this guys 6th birthday! Can't believe he's 6 already. He wanted me to make him a Clifford cake and this is what he got. Thankgoodness he's young enough that he still loved it. LOL
Next week is a busy one too as I have 3 parties in 5 days. I don't usually book that many a week but it just worked out this way. So hopefully I'll have a few things to show you by the end of the week.
I'm wanted to create today but I'm waaaay too tired. Hopefully I'll get some time tomorrow after Cathie tries to kill me by snowshoeing for a few hours.

Until next post...

Call off the search and rescue

I really am still here. Haven't been around much because everyone keeps bugging me in my studio. lol Maybe when the boys are teens I'll have more time to myself....maybe...
Anyway, 2 shares here for you. At my scrappers club Cheri wanted to make a card instead of her layout and tada, here it is.
Beautiful hey? She used Maine Blueberry pp and Old Olive cs, ribbon and ink. The felt flowers (she ended buying a tin) are so awesome! Love adding them to projects/layouts. Anyway, I thought she did a great job and she was willing for me to share it with the rest of you! Thanks Cheri.

Friday is Colby's birthday. My boy will be 6 years old. Can't believe it, but have totally enjoyed the journey thus far. With every birthday, comes the party. (anyone willing to take my place that day???) He is inviting 5 little friends to come over and play. AKA, run through the house screaming and shooting imaginary guns. Oh, good times, good times.
Here is the invite I created for Colby to give to his friends. Old Olive cs and ink, Buckeroo Blue cs and ink and neutrals ivory cs. I dry embossed a square on the card and cut the neutrals ivory cs 1/4" smaller. Stamped the star and then punched it out using the large star punch and put it on dimensionals for a little pop. Wish I had Hit the Road stamp set as Colby loves that dog driving the jeep. Maybe next year.
There you are, proof I'm still around.
Until next time...

buttons!

My mother-in-law had some extra buttons she wanted to get rid of and asked if I wanted them. Of course! Well, I didn't realize how many buttons she was talking about. Wowsers. She thought they would make a great craft project for the kids. I dumped them into a big box and gave them containers to scoop and fill. They had a great time. Of course I did keep a few I can use on some of my layouts. ;)
Colby wanted to make some valentine's for his class so I showed him a few projects and he picked this one. The design is 100% Colby's too. I cut, scored and assembled the boxes but Colby decided on colors, stamps, punch...well you get the picture. I thought he did a great job. On the back he wrote all the kids/teachers names and the candy is taped into it so it doesn't fall out.

Get 'em while they're young

This is my niece Ashley. She came over to make her class some Valentine's day cards. Ashley loves stamping/scrapping with us (her mom and me) and we enjoy watching her get creative!

A great time!!

I had such a great time with the group of 16 year olds the other night. What an awesome bunch!! They had so much fun and it was great to see them experiment with the supplies I had given them. Thanks for a great evening!

SCRAP DAY!! I have a date picked for scrapday. March 14th from 9am-6pm. Will post with full details in a day or two.

I finally decided to put up the flourishes from the decor elements line that I ordered forever ago. Dwight didn't want me to put them on the cupboards but I did. We comprimised and put 2 on the cupboards and one on the wall. I really like how it turned out.
This one is the biggest swirl, and my favorite. I ordered them in chocolate brown and they are beautiful. They are also really easy to put on. SU! now has released phase 3 so go check it out. Click on the brochure to the right. Something for everyone. Oh, and stencils too!! I wonder how many I can put in my house before Dwight says something??
This is the smallest swirl and I put it on my cutlery drawer that is next to the refrigerator.
The med swirl I put on my dining room wall that I painted Cimmaron last year, subtle, but nice! What do you think?
