Happy Birthday little sis

Happy Birthday to my little sister Eva. She turned 29 (again), what's that the 3rd time now??
Here is her purse birthday cake, and no card. That's right, no card. How pathetic. I just didn't have time. Next year! as I'm sure you'll be 29 again. Hope you had a great day!

Classes are planned!

Okay, I have just finished planning a bunch of classes for the rest of this year and January of next. Now, all you have to do is signup once I post the schedule this evening (so make sure you come back)! I'll also be sending an email newsletter this coming week with the class info as well as posting it on my SU! website calendar.
Here is a peak at one of the projects I'll be offering in a class. This one will be held May 29th . I'm hoping to get a few versions of the frame finished this week so you have a few options as to what you'd like to create. I'm also hoping to get a few more of these projects done so you can see what you are signing up for. ;)

Drum roll please....

And the winner is...

Oh, I should first give you the details. Out of 9 entries, only 2 girls guessed right, Cheri and Carol. The five sets I ordered were:
-Forest Friends
-Great Friend
-Oval All
-Golden Oldies
-Sense of Time
I could have bought a few more but need to budget. I'm definately ordering the corduroy buttons, rubon's, matchbox die, window sheets, the oval punch......... This mini is just awesome!!

Alright, so I got Carter to pick a name for me and he picked Cheri. He's only 3 so can't read yet. I'll get your prize sent out to you asap. Thanks for playing everyone!

I also want to tell you the April special as I forgot to sooner. Sorry!!! For every $50 you spend you can pick any one item on page 208 for free. That's up to a $11.95 value! So check it out. Offer ends April 30th.

May special: 1st-31st
Buy three packs of Designer Series paper (including our Specialty Designer Series paper) or 12" x 12" textured card stock, and get one FREE! You can mix and match!! (for example 2 packs pp and 1 pack tx cs) I am stocking up with this special!

Happy Easter all!!
What a wonderful rainy day. I just got up from a nap. Haven't had a nap in ages. Loved it.
I have 2 more cards from Liz to share and I also made another card this morning for another friend.
This first card from Liz uses the versmark resist techinique. Such a cool technique, I need to do that more often. Stamp sets used were Flowers in Silhouette, Matchbox Messages, and Full of Life.
This Real Red card is 4 x 4, one of my favorite sizes for cards. She used Pocket Silhouettes and Sweet Stems. Thanks for the wonderful cards Liz!
This is the card I made for my friend Bev, it's a thank you card but I didn't know where to put the sentiment so I'll leave it. I used a super cute set, Forest Friends and the big shot for the butterfly. Hope she likes it.
Have a great day everyone!

more shares

Here are a few more cards that I swapped with Liz. She has such amazing talent!! I love this one made using the top note die. That owl is too cute. She added glitter to the leaves on the branch, hard to tell in the photo. Stamp sets she used are Very Versatile and Owl Together Now. Liz also used the new oval scallop punch. Can't wait to get that one.
This second card uses a few dies from the big shot, scallop oval frame, beautiful butterflies and a texturz plate. I am really loving that oval frame! The stamp sets are Central Park and Dear Friend. It looks like a quick card to make but has big impact.
This last card is one I made for a friend who just had a baby girl. I glued pieces of pp onto a piece of cardstock and ran it throught the big shot. Then made 'x's with a marker to give it that quilted look. Used Parisian Summer pp, Great Friend and Oval All stamp sets, Bravo Burgandy ink. The brads are not SU!
Thanks for popping by!

Happy Birthday Markus

Dwight called yesterday afternoon and asked if I could make Markus a birthday card. I totally forgot his birthday, my bad! Anyway, so I needed to get one done during naptime and this is what I came up with (with a little inspiration) It's kinda like a card I had seen on SCS from crancourt (I think). I changed a few things though to suite my taste. I was excited to use my new set, Sense of Time from the mini. Hope he likes it as much as the GC we tucked inside. ;)

I feel like giving something away

Anybody wanna win some blog candy? I have a little goodie pack put together for one lucky winner. All you have to do is guess which 5 stamp sets I bought from the Occasions Mini catalog. Yep, I bought 5, couldn't help myself. ;) The total retail value was $120.75 for all 5. If more than one person guesses right I'll put the names into a hat and pick a winner.
You have until Monday afternoon to send me your guesses.

alright, here are some shares

Finally, I have something to share, and only 1 is mine. I just can't seem to make the time to play in my studio. Something always comes up. I know summer will be really slack as we spend so much time outside. But until then I'll have to just leave everything and play. :)
Here are a few cards I recieved from my downline Liz. We did a little mini swap with each other. This first one is my favorite from the bunch. Love the black embossing on black and the fact she used Manhatten Flowers stamp set (my new fav). Will totally case this for a few cards I need to make.
This next card uses the Simple Friendship stamp set that's been on my list for a while now. I just love that butterfly!! I also love the way Liz used 2 ink colors on the butterfly and added the strip of glitter. Love it.
And lastly here is a card that I made. I love this Manhatten flower and I love coloring it in. I decided to color these yellow as it was a birthday card for a stampin' friend (who loves yellow roses). I embossed the outline in black EP and then used pencils and blender pens to color in. The full middle rose is on dimensionals but doesn't show well in the pic. Hope she enjoyed it.

okay, I lied

Didn't post my pics as I didn't get a chance to play very much. I did make a card for a birthday which is in my camera. I'll have to upload/crop/watermark it then I can share. I also made my mother in law a card and forgot to take a picture so I'll have to stop by her house later and do that.
For having a week off from work I sure didn't get a whole lot of scrappin'/stampin' done. Which was very sad for me. But, I did spend a lot of quality time with my boys and we all loved that.
Have a great day all, I'm off to my parents for an Easter gathering.

Occasions Mini Catalog

link is up! Check it out. Some awesome new stuff in there.
So I haven't had a chance to play in my studio lately but today is the day! After I get my butt off this thing I'm going to go play!!!!! So hopefully I'll be posting some pics tonight or tomorrow.

I'm looking for a few people who are interested in a marker group or ribbon group. I have a few already interested but need a few more players to make it a go. Both for the markers and the ribbon. Email me for details.
