grrrrr

It's either blogger or my computer that won't let me upload any photos. Colby's playing on the other computer so I'll try from there later. Maybe I'll even be able to show my new toys...

Can I go back to bed???

So my son has been up for the past 3 nights with a fever. Which of course means I've also been up for the past 3 nights. This last night wasn't as bad as the first two, guess it also helped I went to bed at 8pm last night.
I was going to update this old blog with some cards from my downline but blogger is being silly and I can't upload any images. Hopefully tomorrow...
Hope you all have a great day, and hoping mine gets better.

Christmas is coming...and a winner(s)

I know it's a little early to be thinking Christmas but it's closer than you think!! This is another card for my swap, one of my fav's. I masked the oval and sponged & stamped inside. Used Snowburst stamp set for the snowflakes and All Holidays (which I bought specifically for that stamp) for the sentiment. The colors are Not Quite Navy and Baja Breeze, they are beautiful together! I also added a little bling to the middle of the biggest snowflake.
I'm sure some of you are wondering if I picked a winner for my blog candy. Well, either it was hard to find the inspiration piece or my regular readers aren't reading my blog right now. I'll go with it was hard. ;)
Anyhoo, both entries were right and I put them in a hat and had my son pick. Irina is the winner. Congrats. I'll be getting your cardstock next week and then I'll drop it off.
I also need to pick a winner from my new catalog party. I remembered while camping I forgot to do that before we left, I must be suffering from marshmallow brain.
Again, put all the names into a hat (okay, it's really a pail) and my other son picked Cheri's name. I've your prize sitting here and will drop it off next week.
Thanks everyone for coming to my events and participating in my games.
Have a great day!

2 more

Here are 2 more card fronts I made for the swap. This first one is on a Whisper White base and I used 4 of the new In Color colors. I stamped the background piece of Baja Breeze with the Tres Chic background stamp. (love those!) and the stars I punched with the large and small punches. To punch the middle out, first punch the small star and then you can easlily line up the big star punch.
This next card uses my favorite set, Baroque Motifs. I used Chocolate Chip and Pink Pirouette cs and ink. The middle flower/medalion is on pop dots.
Hope you like them.
I'll be gone for a few days now but I have one more card to share when I get back.
Don't forget about the contest, I have a few entries already!

In colors, in love

Wow, I am totally loving the new in color colors!!

I'm working on a few cards for a swap and this is one of five I came up with. I found inspiration in the new catalog, but changed most of it, though the basics are still there. Hmmm, I'm seeing a blog candy opportunity here. Who can find the card in the new catalog that inspired this one? Email me your answers, I just need the page # and your name (of course). I'll put all the right answers into a draw and pick a winner. I'll give you an asst. pack of in color cardstock (8.5 x 11) You have until Friday evening (6pm) to send me your answers and I'll pick a winner Saturday. Good luck.

Now onto the card. I used Pacific Point cs and ink, Bashful Blue cs and ink, Old Olive cs, Real Red cs and ink, white embossing powder, sm and lg punches, brad from HPH Styled Silver, Pricless stamp set and the distressing tool.

I'll show off my other cards in the next few days, until we go away again. Real camping this time, the boys are so excited. We'll see how that goes. For now, I need to go to bed.

Until we ink again...

We're back

So this is where we were hanging out for the past few days. Dwight's brother lives here and we "camped" on the yard.
The water was great and Colby had a blast swimming in the lake (with a life jacket on). I can't believe it didn't even bother him he couldn't touch bottom.
We also did some fishing, caught (and released) 5 or so fish. 2 of the fish we caught were bleeding a little from the hook, wow, boys did NOT do well with the bleeding fish I tell ya. (all 7 drops of it) What an episode. But they insisted we fish again, go figure.
The second picture is the view from the dock. What a beautiful place. Kenora, Lake of the Woods. Sooo sad we had to leave.

2 days before we left my friend and neighbour had a baby boy. So of course I did some shopping in Kenora and when I got back I made this card for her. I used Blue Bayou and So Saffron cs, ink and ribbon. I used the baby wipe technique for the striped background. I put the white scallop circle, "sweet one" and the star on pop dots. Loved how it turned out and she loved it too.
I'm off to bed, see you all on Saturday!

Today is the day!!

I should be getting my new catalogs today. woohoo So I'll quickly post then I'm off to stalk my mailwoman. ;) Don't forget my new catatlog party on the 16th!!
Here are a few more projects I've done (still have a few in progress) for the fair. Another index card journal and altered mini composition book. I turned the altoid tins into wrist wallets. They are just the right size for debit cards, some change and lipgloss. I punched a hole in the side to add a loop of ribbon to put around your wrist.
Hopefully I'll have time today to work on a few more things before we go on holidays.
Have a great day all!
(I have no idea why the writing and pictures are so wonky. sorry)
