All the cards we made yesterday. Well all except one (the one my sister stole from me). And of course it took much longer than I thought. I always seem to underestimate how long it will take us to make the cards. Maybe it's because of all the laughing we did. It was a great night and I thank all the ladies who came and participated.
This first card used Lovely as a Tree (thankfully it's not on the retirement list). We used Chocolate Chip craft ink with clear embossing powder for the trees and sentiment. I love the added detail of the three score lines.
The next set of cards used Summer by the Sea. Such an awesome set for watercoloring or using just as is. I let them chose the colored cardstock, stamp image and which ribbon they wanted to use. They were all different, all beautiful.
The Grovy Guava carousel note is what was used to make this gift card holder. Stamped the Baroque Motifs swirl with Basic Grey ink and edged in craft white. Used a strip of Basic Grey cardstock to hold it all together. The flower was punched out using the Boho Blossoms punch.
A Wish for You card, looks complicated but the girls said was really simple. We used the DTP (direct to paper) technique on the cardstock and the distresser tool. The stars were stamped then punched.
This double pocket card was really cute, and the girls didn't even get confused with my horrible directions. lol
We used the Close to Cocoa designer series paper, tab & circle punch, Priceless stamp set and Pretty in Pink cs.
The Blue Bayou card used the new sneak peak set called Fresh Cuts. It's beautiful, so glad I got it. I think it was one of the fav's for the girls. Except for having to do that scallop edge, but the good news is, in the new catalog, SU! has a scallop edge punch!! So exciting.
This last card was just a little 3 x 3 note. Just a quick stamp with the Essence of Love set, a sentiment and tie on a ribbon. Used the Blue Bayou here too, the ink and ribbon. So sad to see that color go, BUT next catalogs in color colors are beautiful. Can't wait. August 11th we can start ordering from the new catalog.
So ya, it was a good evening, laughed a lot, spilt some drinks, stamped a little crooked, stayed up way too late and the girls went home with some wonderful cards. Thanks again ladies.

We have to do this more often. I had so much fun! We should do one if Eva is overdue. That much laughing has to get a baby out! Thanks again, Anne.

if I do that much laughing if I go overdue, who will clean up the puddle, Carol?? Anyway it was a great time. Just think how much fun a scrap day would be!! (Hint Hint)
