Thank you to everyone who came out for my scrapbooking/cardmaking day!! It was great day. I think everyone enjoyed themselves and got a lot accomplished. I'm hoping to plan another in the fall so stay tuned.
Unfortunately I forgot my camera so I have no pics to show you of the girls working so hard or the beautiful projects they got done! And there were so awesome projects.
Well I'm off to clean my basement, we were blessed with water trickling down the walls yesterday so now it's all a mess. Any volunteers to help clean up??

Some card shares
Here are the cards we made at a special request class. I was asked to some projects for a youth windup with 9 participants. I did 3 cards and a box. They loved it, and we had a great time! Teenagers are so fun. (but glad I'm not one anymore. lol)

The small strip of pp down the side on the inside was from Bella Rose. Punched a hole with the 1-3/8 punch and then using a mask inked the inside of the card with baja breeze. We then stamped the image from pocket silhouettes with chocolate chip ink. And once again, added glitter. So what do you think? It took us jsut over 3hours to do the box and 3 cards (the girls worked very diligently between discusses which boy was the cutest in highschool).

Sometimes I amaze even me
I made this canvas for a birthday present for Dwight so he can hang it in his office at work. I wanted pics of all 3 boys but I don't have any good shots of the 16year old. (which means no underwear showing) So maybe I'll do a smaller canvas of him after I bribe him to sit down and I can take some nice pics.

I glued some pp onto a piece of chipboard, then once it was dry I ran it through the bigshot to cut out the butterfly. It was missing something so added the gems. Finished it off beautifully. Dwight just loved it. And I do too. Maybe I'll do another one for my studio...

It's been a long week
Yikes, can't believe I survived this past week. 3 parties (well 2 parties and 1 class) last week and then my scrappers club is on Tuesday. So 4 in total over the course of 7 days. But it's been fun. Love getting out, especially last week, the kids are getting spring fever!!
A little tidbit in my personal life. Last post I showed you the clifford cake I made my son for his birthday. Well I totally overestimated how much icing I would need to make it so I had a bucketfull leftover in my fridge. Not to worry, Dwight's birthday was on the 26th, I'll just make him a cake with the same colors. When I asked my boys what kind of cake I should make daddy, they agreed on this...
I never thought I'd be making a barbie cake for a member of my family. Too funny. Carter was so excited to show daddy he couldn't wait till after supper. Dwight thought it was hilarious. Not bad for the first time making a barbie cake I thought, and I even pulled off using the red and black colors.
Here is the card we made at Eva's party.
I used the top notz die for the cardstock and pp, but for the pp, we cut off the perforated part. We then used blender pens and ink pad to color in the flower and butterfly. Added a little dazzling diamonds and ta-da, a beautiful card.
I have more cards to share and a kick-butt canvas I made for Dwight. But I'll share that later this week.
Until then...
