I made this canvas for a birthday present for Dwight so he can hang it in his office at work. I wanted pics of all 3 boys but I don't have any good shots of the 16year old. (which means no underwear showing) So maybe I'll do a smaller canvas of him after I bribe him to sit down and I can take some nice pics.
I think it turned out wonderful. I used the pictures my friend Eva Krahn took of them at the Thresherman's muesum this past fall. Wal-Mart didn't have the 'normal' canvas's, so I bought the flat ones and attached some hardware at the top and tied a ribbon to it so Dwight could hang it. SU! ingredients: pp is from Urban Garden, rubon's are Chateau Bella, butterfly cut with big shot, glitter is the chocolate from Supernova collection. The flowers, chipboard letters, gems (on butterfly) and photo anchor were from my stash.
A closeup of the chipboard letters. I painted them brown (same as canvas) then used heat & powder to adhere the glitter. Looks really nice.
I glued some pp onto a piece of chipboard, then once it was dry I ran it through the bigshot to cut out the butterfly. It was missing something so added the gems. Finished it off beautifully. Dwight just loved it. And I do too. Maybe I'll do another one for my studio...
