Party Party

I'm having a New Catalog Party!!
Feb. 3rd at 7:30pm and you are all invited.
We'll make a project, drool over the new products together, I'll have door prizes and specials so you'll wanna be here!!
Please RSVP (by email or phone) by Feb. 2nd if you can make it. If you need directions to my house just call or email me.
I have been asked to do a party for a 16 year old girl's birthday. I have a few cards planned and a box to hold them in. I wanted to do the cards all co-ordinating and with one stamp set but then I thought, why not do a variety. They are new to SU! so I'd like to show them a few things and suck them in. lol Hopefully they'll have a great time. Here are 3 of the cards I'm going to have them make.
The first uses Priceless (still one of my fav's) and I used basic black, real red and whisper white cardstock/ink/ribbon. I think I'll stamp a sentiment in black and maybe do some paper piercing along the ribbon. It just doesn't look done yet.
This next one uses some retired colors, blue bayou and river rock. Still love those colors and have a small stash in my cabinet. :)
I used the scallop edge punch along both edges. I cut the hearts out and used dimensionals to pop them up a bit. Priceless was stamped with whisper white.
Now this card is my favorite of the 3. Maybe because it's so girlie, I don't know but I cased it from someone on SCS. Rose red, cameo coral and kiwi kiss cardstock/ink/ribbon and the new Raspberry Tart pp. Used Baroque Motifs stamp set.
I was also going to share a layout I did the other day. The only SU! stuff I have on here is the cardstock and some buttons. But I love how it turned out.
AND, my last share, (Wow, I'm really in the sharing mood today. lol) is my son. I just love how I captured his innocence...

Updated

The SU! catalog and the decor elements catalog on the right side is now current. I needed the assistance of the wonderful Liz Goldhawk to help me with that. Thanks Liz!!

New phase III is out with the decor elements and there is now something for everyone in the book. Go check it out.
Now a share. I did this layout a few days ago. Used Rainbow Sherbert pp (very colorful but so fun). Made the circle of dots using a white gel pen following a paper circle. The word DRINKS is HS rubon's.
This card is for a swap. I used white embossing powder on the basic grey cs and colored the flowers red with a blender pen dipped in RHR reinker.

Scrap Day anyone??

I would love to plan another scrapday and the dates I'm thinking are March 7th or March 14th. Any suggestions? It would be from 9am-6pm again so lots of time to be creative!! Would love to hear some feedback so I can start planning for this and buying goodies. Last time we gave away over $200 worth of product in that one day. It was so much fun!!

The new catalog started yesterday and if you haven't seen it yet, well, that's just sad. lol I am also planning a new catalog party (yes I'm a little slow) for Feb. 3rd. The reason for being a little later is that Sale-A-Bration starts Feb. 1st and you'll want to get in on that too. Hopefully I can figure out how to update my side bar and add the flyers so you can just click on there.

Alright, off to make some more cards for the silent auction.

Would you buy these?

From a silent auction? My sister's school is having a movie night with silent auction and I'm donating this mini magazine holder with 30 valentine cards. The cards are ATC size, 2.5 x 3.5 so a good size for valentines. I used Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White cardstock and ink. I heat embossed many of the images just because I could. The pp is from the designer line in the RHR color. I used A Happy Heart and Love you Much stamp sets. (both in the new catalog) Hopefully a few people put their names into the hat.

I also wanted to share a little funny that happened at our house the other day. Typically it's my youngest son that eats candy like he'll never see it again but on this particular day I found my oldest hiding under the table crunching candy. When I asked what he was doing he said he found these candy donuts and loved them. He had eaten almost the entire roll and said he just couldn't help himself. Too cute.

Another share

Here is another layout I got done using mostly SU! product. Just the transparency overlay and sewing (which I still need help with) are non SU!. I really like the way this one turned out too. The 'love you' is a rubon from one of the packs (can't remember which one though and I'm too lazy to go check sorry).
Hope you enjoyed my layout and I'm off to bed.
Until next post...

I did it!!!

I scrapbooked last night. woohoo. With everyone being so sick over the holidays I never thought I'd get some one on one time with my room. I was up until 2am scrapbooking. Could have gone longer but knew I would regret it today. I got a few layouts done. Here is one to share.
The lace cardstock (stars) and the letters for "running!" are not SU!. The rest is. I used my white ink to smear a background on the kraft cs. I punched a star out of RHR cs which matched the lace cs and a smaller start out of the pp. Also punched the curly label out of pp and added a piece of scrap RHR and faux stitched over them. I used the Rough Edges alphabet for the rest of the title. Love how it turned out. The pic was also a total fluke when I took it (over a year ago) but knew this is what I wanted to do with it.
I also wanted to share this awesome journal my friend Tanya gave me for Christmas. I love journals and have tried to keep them before but it never lasts too long. Hopefully this will be a better year for journaling. I'm also going to leave it out on my desk to continually remind me. I've entered something everyday so far so I'm doing great. I know it won't always be everyday, but hopefully the important things get written down. Like this -40 degree weather!!!
Until next time...
