Sneak Peak

At some of the cards we'll be doing. I'm not finished all of them but here are a few. I did say a peak. hehehehe

And to address Cheri's question, you only get one guess for the blog candy. You have until July 1st at noon to get your guesses in to me. Whoever is the closest will win the stamp set. If there is a tie, I'll pick the person I like better. HA, just kidding. I'll throw the names into a hat and have one of my hooligans pick one. Good luck all!

Getting organized

So I'm starting to get a little more organized in my space. Which I might add is getting smaller by the day. First the kids, then the husband and now the dog. Everyone seems to like my room as much as I do, so to make things easier for me I've kinda moved to just one table. Kinda is the key word because when I'm in the groove I retakeover my whole space!!

A few new things I've added to my room is 2 curtain rods for holding my punches. I've got a bit of a collection going, never thought I would, but here it is. I saw the idea on SCS and loved it so here is my version. It's sits just above the
filing cabinet beside my table.
Next I added this floating shelf that came with the towel bar. I had bought it for something else, didn't like it and so the shelf sat for a few months. Then while visiting a scrapbookhim, aka, Bryan, I saw he had a towel bar with the clipitz clips to hold his *ahem* small assortment of acrylic stamps. BING, the light went off. I now had a spot for that shelf. Of course Dwight was super sweet and hung it for me. I have all my rubons, aplha packs and such hanging from here and I love it. So much easier to find what I need.



Here is a shot of my space. It's just perfect. Everything is within reach, I can sit or stand, I just love it. I've even started recycling my paper. I know, should have been doing that all along, but I'm really making an effort now. I did find out that photo paper is NOT recycleable. To bad, but hopefully one day it will be. (and btw, you do not see 5 cropper hoppers full of pp and cs. it's all a figment of your imagination)






Just a note, if you want to sign up for my card class, email or call me to confirm and to also let me know how many cards you would like to make (12 or 15). You are more than welcome to invite a friend(s) as long as you confirm them and how many cards they also would like to make.


I would also like to offer an advanced card technique class. We make fewer cards but they are more detailed/time consuming and "not for the weak at heart." mwahahahahahaha Thinking the end of July when it's +35 out there.

Also, time for some blog candy. That is if you've made it this far. (I hear my dog snoring at my feet) As you know, it's retirement time, so my blog candy question is.................How many sets did I lose to retirement this time?? (not including hostess sets)
A prize you ask?? Well, a retired set of course. I have a few stashed away for times like this. I'll dig one tomorrow and post it.

Card class dates

Yes, I've finally decided on a date. My days are just slipping past me so fast, it's crazy.
Anyway, I have decided to go with Thursday, July 3rd at 7pm. The cost is $25 for 12 cards or $30 for 15 cards. I'm working on the samples now so hoping to get a sneak peak posted tomorrow. (I have my S6 tonight so don't think I'll have time today)

Saying goodbye...

It's that time of year once again when we have to say goodbye. The retirement list for the stamp sets came out on the 17th so I'm a few days late. (sorry) You can see the list by clicking this link. http://www.stampinup.com/ca/enc/10707.asp
These sets will NOT be available after August 10th, so get them while you can. ( I may have a July special if you're good)

On a happy note, SU! has introduced a new home decor line. Vinyl wall accents. These will be available July 1st so I'm hoping to order a few brochures soon and show them off. They are BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Can't wait to get some for myself.

A little support

My sister ordered the Sassy Susie set and I just had to try it out. Saw these cute bra cards on SCS and just had to try one. I used the scallop circle and word window punch to make the bra. The saying is from Sassy Susie. (your friendship is the most uplifting thing in my life without underwire)
Dates I'm thinking about for my card class are June 26 or 27. Let me know what works for you.
We will do 6 different kinds of cards with your choice of sentiment. I'm really hoping to get them made this week so I can post them.

Thank you cards for graduation

My big boy graduated. No, the little one on the left. :)
Graduated from preschool he did. Colby knows all his ABC's, 1-10, colors and shapes!! (reading and printing)
For his teachers I made the following thank you cards. I used Summer by the Sea for both (still playing with my aqua painters) but wanted them to look different. This first one I used On the Spot background stamp and clear embossed the images. ooooo, and I used my new destresser tool. WAY cool!!! Ribbon is not SU!, I didn't have any red.

I forgot to post the prize for the Co-op GC. (my bad) It was an assortment of yummylicious ribbon and I've already brought it to the winner, who was Cathie. So I don't even have a picture, Sorry about that everyone.

Here's a little something I made the other day. I was at Dollarama and found little composition books. 4/$1.00, cheap. Here is one I altered. So cute to throw in a gift basket or tuck into your purse for those important notes. (like which garage sales you'd like to go to) Used True Friend stamp set and the DPSP in Blue Bayou.

I'm thinking I'll offer my card class on weeknight the last week of June, let me know what dates work for you and I try to accomadate.

No worries

I'm not dead. Although I felt near it these past few weeks. So I'm sorry I haven't posted sooner. But I would like to thank you all for the gentle reminders over the past few days. lol
Along with not posting I also haven't done much in my studio. I got this Bare Elements recipe box over a month ago and it's taken me this long to finish it. And I really didn't do a whole lot to it. Everything is from SU! except the chipboard letters which I painted and embossed. Should look good in my Kitchen. (just need to fill it with our favorite recipes) I'm still working on a card class, will give out details soon I hope.
