backpack

Here is the larger version of the backpack I showed you the other day (or week). I wanted one big enough to put a few A2 sized cards and envelopes into for a teacher gift. It took a little tweaking, and recutting, but I got it done. Really like how it turned out. Now I need to make some cards to match. I LOVE this pattern paper and bought another 2 packs with the special right now.

You can see the huge size difference between the original and the one I changed.

I also have a layout to share, believe it or not I had some time to scrap last week. I used the big shot to cut out the title, used a transparency sheet for the '&'. I'm loving the corduroy buttons too.

Carol's tin

Here is the tin Carol made. Isn't it awesome?? You gotta give her some love!!

Thanks for sharing Carol.

Here they are

This is what I've been working on this week during nap time. I'll have you know though that my house is an absolute disaster! So that's what I'll be doing today, clean. I know, such an exciting life.
Anyway, on to the projects. I found a template for this cute backpack and immediately thought what a great idea for a teachers gift. Only problem, it's tiny! Holds a gift card, and I would like to put some A2 size cards (with envelopes) in it as part of the gift. Maybe even a pen. I made the tiny one out of some retired supplies so I could figure out how to 'tweek' it to make it bigger. I think I've got it now. Can't wait to try, maybe after the house is clean.
Another project I did earlier this week, (or last) was an altered tin. Carol came over and we made them together. Her's is kick butt and I would post a picture of it but don't have it at the moment, hopefully soon. The inside isn't done, but I used the large scallop circle die to make the pages out of pp. I'm thinking I'll give this to my niece Ashley so she can make a little mini album.

Carter's hero is

My girlfriend Cathie!! My youngest son who's 3 (almost 4) loves, loves, loves his "Auntie" Cathie. She works for BTHC as a paramedic so when the STARS helicopter landed there the other day they took some pics. (She's the one in the ponytail :) ) Cathie sent me this picture and Carter just loves it. He asks to look at it everyday. Carter is amazed that Auntie Cathie is touching a helicopter. Although he was less excited when I told him it was on the ground for this picture, not in the air. ;)

Here is the flyer for the promotions this month. Click on the picture to make it big enough to read. So check it out!! And here is a look at the new Jumble alphabet for 20% off. Pretty cool hey?!!
I've added a link to my website for 24/7 shopping. ;) I'm trying to add my calendar of classes but it won't let me. So I'm off to try and figure that out.

The photos

Here are the pictures of what I've been working on.
This first one is the Top Note Purse and card set (there are actually 4 cards). Isn't it just the cutest?!! Love this little purse. And it was fun to make too. Signup is closed for this Friday's class but I may offer another one somewhere. I used the Raspberry Tart pp with Rose Red cs and ribbon. The flower was made with the flower punch and a big brad. (love those too)
This is the Christmas box. I didn't make it Christmas theme as I do NOT want to think about cold and snow right now. ;) I love this little box. So easy to make. The top note tags could easily be turned into cards and the buttons and glitter should be chocolate (decorated of course). I don't keep chocolate on hand (not good for the behind!) but didn't want to take a picture of an empty box. PP was Urban Oasis (yummmmmmmm!), I used Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set, colors are Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, Basic Black, and Kraft.

Well, I tried to upload the sneak peak alpha set you can order this month too but can't figure it out just yet. Stay tuned...

Updated!

I was told to update my blog, well here I am, updating....with nothing.
I have 2 projects I'm working on right now. Hoping to post pics this week. I'm also working on my class newsletter but I'm "cool newsletter" challenged. I wanted a PDF newsletter with pictures, but it looks like I'll be sending out a regular old typepad newsletter. :( Sorry!
That's about it.
I'd like to work on SU! while my daycare kids are napping and will give that a try this week. Usually I do dishes and laundry and such so I don't have to do it on the weekend. But my SU! is really slacking then and I'd like to put more effort into it. So good luck to me with that this week!
Oh, and I'm getting cupboards for my studio!! Yippee!! I'm so excited. They should be arriving in July sometime. Hoping to also get one big table but we'll see how dh does after paying for the cupboards. LOL

*Note: Don't forget, this months special. Purchase 3 packs of pattern paper or textured cardstock and get a 4th for FREE!! Great time to stock up for those rainy days! Call me to order or book or a workshop.
